Hi everyone, this is Allie and Rebecca. We tried to post a picture, but our computer doesn't seem to be cooperating. We've been busy with friends and family staying with us (our friends from England and then Allie's Grandma on her dad's side). Christmas was good; Allie's favorite gift was an American Girl doll - the one that looks like her. Now her other AG doll has a friend to play with. All three of them (the two dolls and Allie) got matching outfits, too. Hope all is well with everyone! See you soon.

To Katie -- LONG LIVE FRED!!! (from Allie, of course.)

Hey all!

Here we are at Cobb Ranch mid-December outside Fresno while visiting with Melanie and Hack. We traveled quite a bit the last part of 2006 and had a great time at all the different places. First was Rocky Point then Southern California and then up to Fresno. I think that the kids are worn out though.

Garrett and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary the beginning of this year. I remember at the reception seeing/meeting so many of you and being overwhelmed by how many of you there were. I come from a simple family of four and we did everything with just us. So, thank you for welcoming me into yours with such big arms and unconditionally. It has been an unexpected blessing in our marriage. However, I have to say that being married to Garrett has been the most incredible thing ever in my life. The best thing to have ever happen to me. He is wonderful.

These are our kiddos. Everett (5), Sadie (4), Makennah (2) and Eliza (8 mo.). Thanks Janice for reminding us how simple it is to post on this site. I finally got a few moments while everyone in the house is sleeping and jumped on the chance to explore. I hope to share some of those moment by moment adventures in the Mitchell home more often.

I spoke to soon. I hear Makennah calling for me. Oh well. Have a great day all~ Davena

A Blog from Kristen
Ok Katie....It is time I stop being a bystander, and get involved in this blog of ours! I think I need to get the idea out of my head that I have to be super creative, or have a really entertaining story to share with everyone...
The new year is here...and boy am I glad. When I stop to think about the last month of 2006, I still feel overwhelmed...I guess college finals, a new position at work, and the death of my grandpa all in the same 2 weeks all made life a little hectic. When the new year came around, I guess my mind and body were both a little run down..because I ended up with tonsillitis! But, I feel much better now...and am ready to take on 2007.
This past week, I started a new biology class as an elective. I was a little apprehensive going into it, knowing I would be dealing with about 16 weeks of terminology...but it is actually really interesting to learn about something other than boring old psychology :) My professor seems to be a pretty cool guy. He told us that he is working on a few different projects right now...one involves studying ants, and the other pertains to wild pigs??? I can't wait to go back to class to learn what in the world he is studying ants for....gross! He was also talking about global warming...and the latest research that is predicting the arctic polar ice cap will melt within the next 40 years! Take a look at the changes that have taken place since 1979...!!
And if you're interested in learning more about global warming...here ya go...homework :)
Until next time...love you all
